Week 5 – September – How does the letter travel?

This week we are talking about the post and the letters. We learnt about Post Office and Postman’s job. We spoke about how the letters travel from sender to receiver.

We prepared our own letters, addressed them to parents. We put our pictures inside from the first day in pre-school.

We attached photos to the first page of Child’s Pre-school Passport. We are asking parents to fill the pages and to return them to pre-school. Please stick there some family photos, so the kids will be able to talk about their famillies during circle time. Everything will be returned to parents in June together with other pages filled by pre-school teacher. We are planning to create the “memory book” in a form of the Pre-school Passport.

Tomorrow we are going to walk to the nearest post box and drop the letters in. We hope they will all arrive the next day in your houses. Please open them together with your child, and remember to thank them for the letter. I would appreciate if you choose the photos together, and answer the questions.

After lunch we practice the sequencing.

On Wednesday we went to the nearest post box in our Cul de Sac, to send our letters.
Kids were very good while walking. We spoke about road safety on the way as well.
